Only one KTC will be assigned per innovation project. This means that up to 4 innovations will be selected from the call for expressions of interest.

If your organization wishes to request multiple KTCs, please submit different innovation project proposals.

The availability of staff that can interact fluently in English and guide activities related to corresponding innovation projects will be a condition for receiving the KTC. Additionally, selected host agencies and/or companies will be requested to sign a collaboration agreement with the Bank.

The submission of Expressions of Interest will be open until March 28, 2025. The Bank will internally review the proposals, reach out to applicants for any follow-up questions, and announce the selections in April. The Bank will start recruiting candidates who meet the required profiles, with an expected deployment date in July 2025.

Yes, it is possible. The proposal must specify the institutional arrangement and which entity will serve as the principal beneficiary and responsible for the signature of the agreement.

Yes, it is possible, as long as the nominated candidate meets the eligibility criteria.

The University will evaluate candidates based on its admission and eligibility criteria. The final selection is decided in conjunction with the Bank and will consider gender and cross-country balance, provided that the established eligibility and academic criteria are met. Please note that the applicant’s current employer must provide an official nomination to the Bank. Only candidates for whom nominations have been received from their entities will be considered in the final selection. If the entity wishes to express that there is a maximum number of beneficiaries per entity, it may do so in the nomination communication.

It is possible that there may be cases where there is more than one student per country or institution. Each student will receive individual scholarships. The program offers up to 23 scholarships and the call is open to all 26 countries in the Latin American and Caribbean region. The selection of beneficiaries will consider the fulfillment of the university’s admission requirements and the individual merits of each student. Likewise, a gender and inter-country balance will be considered, as long as the established eligibility and academic criteria are met.

There is no application fee, as all applicants for the Program are exempt from application fees and the Verification of Deposit (VOD). Please refer to the step-by-step application guide under ‘Additional Information’ tab to download the templates and upload them on your application to the University.

The applicant is responsible for the costs associated with document preparation, such as obtaining the notarization/apostille for the transcripts and diploma, English tests and mailing fees to send the physical copies to the University. For these expenses, the applicant will bear the costs and the Bank will not make reimbursements.

Yes, it is possible, as long as the nominated candidate meets the eligibility criteria.

The application deadline for candidates is December 19, 2025. This date is for the applicant to deliver the documents to the University, both in the application system and the delivery of the physical documents. The same deadline is for the applicant’s current employer to share with the Bank ([email protected]) a communication identifying the candidates officially nominated by the organization. Only candidates for whom nominations have been received from their current public sector entities will be considered in the final selection. 

Yes, it is possible. Please note that the scholarship benefits only covers the selected candidate himself/herself, and any costs associated with the partner will not be covered by the scholarship. Also, note that the dormitory facilities on campus is not designed to accommodate families, so you will need to find a separate accommodation. The University will facilitate the house search.

No, the Program will not pay for the costs associated for the English certification exam.

All applicants must meet the eligibility criteria. From the eligible candidates, the selection of program beneficiaries will be made through a competitive process based on merit, considering the link between the applicant’s professional profile and the academic program offered.

Priority will be given to public servants linked to institutions involved in the design and/or implementation of public policies for growth, competitiveness, scientific and technological development, the promotion of innovation, and productive development. For example, economic development and planning, information technologies, cybersecurity and data protection, digital transformation, regulation and governance, competitiveness and innovation, sustainability, productive development, industry, and among others.

All applicants must submit valid TOEFL ibt or IELTS scores until the application submission deadline.

Applicants can also submit TOEFL iBT Home Edition, which is available anytime from your own computer. This provides greater access to taking the TOEFL ibt, since it is not required to go to a test center and tests area available anytime from your computer.

Applicants who have completed their Bachelor’s Degree from the following countries are exempt from submitting an English Proficiency Test score report: United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Republic of South Africa. Please contact the University on how to submit the English as Medium of Instruction to verify your exemption.
