Knowledge Partnership Korea Fund for Technology and Innovation

The Korea-LAC Tech Corps Program is an initiative led by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with funding from the Knowledge Partnership Korea Fund for Technology and Innovation. The program strengthens public institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) through education and technical collaboration with Korea and supports innovation projects in the region in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).


Pursue a Master’s Degree in Korea – Fully Funded

This component awards up to 26 scholarships to mid-level public officials from LAC to pursue an 18-month master’s degree in Public Management, Public Policy, or related fields with an ICT focus at leading Korean universities.

Host a Korean ICT Expert for 12 Months

This component brings Korean professionals with ICT expertise to support innovation projects in public institutions, private companies, or civic organizations across LAC. These professionals are hired by the IDB as consultants and embedded in your team.

  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of ICT-related initiatives
  • Share knowledge and best practices from Korea
  • Deliver tailored, tech-based solutions to address local challenges
  • Public institutions or agencies
  • Civic organizations
  • Private sector companies in LAC

  • Description of the innovation or ICT project
  • Anticipated value added by KTC participation
  • Activities planned for the Korean consultant
  • Desired profile of the KTC professional
  • Availability of staff proficient in English for collaboration

Note: Participating organizations must sign a collaboration agreement with the IDB prior to the consultant’s assignment.
